Violet flower ; strong. Growing up, I didn’t like my name. It has several pronunciations … & I ‘do’ have a preference! It is slightly different from what was meant for me at birth. Now, I insist on being addressed by it alone. It suits me perfectly. I’ve grown into it, blossomed, if you will! I’ve heard its origins are French or Spanish or Greek (Latin). One day I’ll know for sure but for now I really don’t care because it’s mine & I wouldn’t change it for another!

The photo I saw of my mother as a child ,yesterday, shook me in ways I needed to be shaken. I feel for the girl in the photo having seen her. The person she’s grown into, I’m working on it, from within.
I crossed paths with a picture of my grandparents today. I’ve never seen them together. I, too, saw a picture of my mother when she was a young girl. I wish I knew just how old she was.
