My Shoulders

Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

… I consider an off limit zone to the vast majority of humans. A few weeks ago someone aggressively grabbed my shoulder while I was walking past him & redirected my entire body in his direction. He had NO business touching me. He’s never touched me. I looked at his hand (on my shoulder) with displeasure & then look him in his eyes. He offered a smile even more off putting than THINKING it was fine & good to touch me. When he took his hand off me I turned away & moved on. That ‘was’ the action I took. Had I an inkling he was gonna do that, I’m not even gonna ‘say’ what I would’ve done. It will be in his best interest that it doesn’t happen again.

A Couple

Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you.

… years ago, a little boy locked eyes with me at Target while at the self check out. He handed me a toy, a little yellow bus, & suggested with his body language that I scan it. So, I scanned it, he smiled big, & I gave it back to him with a big smile back! I’ll never forget that experience!
