I Wish I Did!

Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?

There was a hard back book with many stories inside it about different neighborhoods & people & things. I can only remember the cover sleeve having a drawing of a street with a car parked on it, a fire hydrant, trees & brownstones behind it all. Perhaps a couple of animals & people bike riding, etc. How I wish I could come across this book again. I’d be so happy to see it. It was around the early/mid 70’s that I was enjoying the book. Y’all know how I can go about finding it???

Research

Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

Re. Search. Answers are everywhere. Right answers. Wrong answers. Humans have always wondered but continue to settle for the sentimental. Many important decisions we just cannot afford to get wrong. Growing up I learned plenty from my caregivers. When the time came for me to make my own decisions I didn’t know how to think critically. Instead I tried hard for a long time to make what I had been taught while growing up ‘work’. Like shoving a square into a circle. I do believe that some of the information that I’d received was meant to be well but it was not accurate and it was crucial to me to locate and apply the accurate knowledge. I always come to my own conclusions now. ‘I hear you’ but I will see for myself what the matter is. If ‘I’ get it wrong that will be on me. To my shock and horror I’ve heard a literal few individuals express ‘not wanting to know’ while reasoning there would be no accountability if they ‘didn’t’ know … when we all know that ignorance is no excuse for the law.

Who

What jobs have you had?

… selects, ok’s & then sends out the ‘prompts’? I ain’t tryna start nuthin’ … they are so uninspiring. As of late quite the opposite effect they’ve had on me … nowhere near tapping into my creative juices. So much so I tried unsubscribing but the memo was lost in the bland sauce. Before that I’d considered writing whatever was needing to come out no matter the ‘prompt’ as I’m doing right now BUT it could be me. I’ll change the way I’ve been seeing things & consider it a challenge. Good day all. See you tomorrow.

I Do!

Do you remember life before the internet?

I also remember black & white t.v. … but that’s a whole/‘nother story. We had at least two sets of encyclopedias in our home. We used library cards AND ‘mom’ was a teacher of several subjects. But the world was still huge besides aside from our world globes! National Geographic I often gathered off the floor having been shoved through the mail slot on our back door. Neighbors were never short of stories about this & that. And from time to time there would be families from abroad we’d come into contact with besides the china man (Chinese takeout)!

Everyone In My Ancestral Lineage

Who would you like to talk to soon?

And I do mean everyone! The time is fast approaching when this will finally be possible! I’ve wanted this for so long. For as long as I can remember. When every wrong on Earth will be undone, forever. I have vivid thoughts regarding the days ahead though I’m certain matters will be much more grand than anything I can hope for! So be it!

BRRRRRRR!

How do you feel about cold weather?

It’s beautiful in so many ways, both day & night. I love the ‘still’ of it, the ‘loud’ quiet during long dark nights, when the sky is crystal clear & the stars are all over the place! The sparkle of snowflakes mingling with the sunlight is unmatched, especially when the wind has something to say about it! The proper food clothing & shelter has its ways of making it doable … & a fire, let’s not forget a nice crackling fire …
