Hanging up on someone is not what it used to be! All of the special effects are gone, thanks to the now cellular phone. You can hang up on someone nowadays & they will, more than likely, be convinced that the call was ‘dropped’ or blame it on a ‘bad connection’ … experiencing NOT, the full effect of the CAH-LICK! … followed by the infamous confirmation of that ‘gone but never forgotten’ dial tone! There was NO denying the fact that you’d been hung up on.
