Lady At the Bin with My Sprite Soda

I took trash out early this morning. There was a woman with baskets & bags of clothes & stuff inside of the large/enclosed bin ‘area’. She was on her feet but didn’t seem to notice that I was ‘there’. I kept a bit of a distance while I tossed the trash into the bin. I fell a little short with the empty oatmeal cylinder with apple peels/skins inside it. When it hit the ground she appeared to ‘snap out it’. I apologized & told her I was sorry to have disturbed her. I asked her how she was as I picked up the oatmeal container & apple peelings. She said she was exhausted & had gotten off work at midnight. I said to her, “oooooh, & you’re up this early”? It was close to 8 a.m. She said that she hadn’t been to sleep & was waiting for a cab to pick her up. Having picked up my mess & gotten it where it needed to be I wished her well & was on my way. I had an ice cold sprite soda that I thought I was gonna enjoy on my way to run a few errands, instead I offered it to her & she appreciatively accepted! I know it hit the spot, sprite always does!

Don’t Bite Off More Than I Can Chew

What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?

Since I don’t like rushing/being rushed, I often give careful thought to how I’ll approach my day(s). Lists are a huge help to me. Realizing/understanding my limitations, makes it o.k. for me to be reasonable in what I set out to do on a daily. Order is as important as my lists. I’ve learned that I am not superwoman & that I am solely responsible for matters pertaining to me. So, I’ve an invested interest in how I show up for myself in daily life. Wiggle room is one of my closest friends … & so is rest/sleep … & Pinterest!
